Pumpkins
Yesterday our whole class received pumpkins from Mrs. Wickman. Some of us chose big ones and some chose small ones. Most people chose the large ones. We probably will carve pumpkins at home. Others will just look at them or put them on the step for decoration. Zeke had the tallest one. Maybe some will take the gooey, yucky stuff out and make pumpkin bars. You can pick the seeds out, dry them, salt them, and roast them. Then you EAT them. One person for sure is going to paint his pumpkin. Jack o lanterns would be fun to make. You could use them as part of a scarecrow. Bye for now. We are going to learn about fire safety.

That was really nice of Mrs. Wickman to give you all a pumpkin. I just read that a farmer in Rhode Island grew a pumpkin that weighs 1,502 pounds. That's a BIG pumpkin! It even weighs more than my horse!
I hope you all paid very close attention to what you learned about fire safety. It's very, very important.
I look forward to seeing what you write tomorrow.
This is Riley's Aunt Amy. We saw Riley two times this weekend! Once at the North Andrew football game (we won!) and then at her Grandma's house on Sunday. We watched High School Musical 2 and ate pizza!
Also we saw a double rainbow because it was raining and the sun was out! The water droplets were reflecting light from the sun, which made the rainbow! We had to have our back to the sun so we could see it.
I hope you all take care of your pumpkin! I love to take the mushy stuff and seeds out and then carve it into a funny face.
