The Apple Orchard Field Trip

We walked around and looked at the trees. He told us how many apple trees were in his orchard. He told us about the different kinds of trees in his orchard. New trees had a fence around them to protect them from deer. We found a caterpillar and Colissa got to hold it. We got to pick and eat an apple and drink apple cider. The cider was delicious. We ate a Chieftan apple. There were Jonathan, Chieftan, Golden and Red Delicious apples. He thought he could plant 100 trees in one day. We watched polish and sort the apples. We had lots of fun.

This sounds like so much fun! What a great trip. Have you heard of the Golden Delicious apple? It's very popular around Maryland, where I live.
Happy apple picking.

It sounds like you had a great time at the apple orchard. Connor told me that the Chieftain was the best apple he ever tasted. He would like to take his family to the orchard to for some more so that we can all taste them. We might go next Monday on our day off from school--maybe we will see some of you there. . .
